STEP 1:

OPPORTUNITY EXPLORATION MEETING

 

Objective: Brainstorm the opportunity with other participating organizations to explore high-value areas of investigation.

 

Deliverables:

  • One-on-One Executive Interviews. One-hour phone interviews conducted with executives of participating companies to identify high-priority topics for the national study.

  • Opportunity Assessment. An initial 5-7 page report of the opportunity, challenges, best practices, and market trends based on secondary research and analysis.

  • Opportunity Exploration Meeting. Presentation and discussion of the opportunity and areas of investigation (attend in-person or by teleconference).

 

Timing:

Month 1

STEP 2:

QUALITATIVE RESEARCH

 

Objective: Gain consumer insights and leverage expert knowledge and opinions to guide direction of the national survey.

 

Deliverables:

  • Creation of National Expert Panel. Identification and engagement of thought leaders and subject matter experts for ongoing guidance throughout the initiative.

  • Consumer Focus Groups among targeted Boomer segments to advance our understanding of key issues.

 

Timing:

Months 2-3

STEP 3:

STUDY DESIGN BRAINSTORMING MEETING

 

Objective: Discuss and incorporate priority topics and ideas in our national survey.

 

Deliverables:

  • Qualitative Research Insights Report. A summary report of findings from (1) consumer qualitative research, (2) interviews with executives of participating organizations, and (3) interviews and input from the National Expert Panel.

  • Creation of Draft National Survey Questionnaire, for review and discussion with participating organizations.

  • Opportunity Exploration Meeting to finalize survey goals and focus and brainstorm ideas for the questionnaire (attend in-person or by teleconference).

Timing:

Month 4

STEP 4:

NATIONAL SURVEY

 

Objective: Survey 2,000 Boomer respondents and smaller samples of other generations for comparison of attitudes and behaviors.

Deliverables:

  • Finalize Questionnaire based on feedback and ideas from the Study Design Brainstorming Meeting.

  • Final Questionnaire Conference Call to review final questionnaire with participating organizations.

  • Program and Field the Survey among nationally representative samples of Boomers, along with smaller samples of other generations.

  • Data Analysis to build initial survey findings.

Timing:

Months 4-5

STEP 5:

EXECUTIVE BRAINSTORMING SESSION

 

Objective: Exchange ideas, insights, and implications from the national survey.

Deliverables:

  • National Survey Insights Report, a 40-50 page presentation of key findings and insights from the national survey.

  • Executive Brainstorming Meeting.  A one-day meeting to brainstorm insights and implications from the national study, with presentations from select national experts (attend in-person or by teleconference).

Timing:

Months 6-8

STEP 6:

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

 

Objective: Summarize findings and insights, including tailored recommendations addressing the priorities of each participating company.

Deliverables:

  • The Boomer NextAGE Executive Summary, a 20-25 page report summarizing insights and actionable recommendations.

  • Media Package, including talking points, sample press releases, and fact sheets, infographics, to enable participating companies to promote their thought leadership in creating solutions that meet the needs of Boomers. 

  • One-Day Workshops (optional). Baxter Consulting Group will be available to lead one-day onsite brainstorming meetings with company leadership to further explore and identify strategic implications and next steps.

Timing:

Months 9-12
